Outreach

Pound of Love

Pound of Love
Presbytera Despina, founder of the “Pound of Love” ministry, is surrounded by helpers from St. Matthew’s Orthodox Church (March 2013).

Pound of Love extends Christ’s love by making poundcakes for women in prison, food banks, and shelters during the Easter season.  It’s a cooperative, interfaith effort involving a number of faith communities in the local area.   Contact Presbytera if you are interested in baking or in donating flour, eggs, sugar, and butter.  Also, monetary donations are accepted for containers.
